San Angelo Man Arrested for Brutally Beating a Woman & Forcing Her to Perform Lewd Acts on Him

SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man is behind bars after forcing a woman to perform sex acts on him and beating her with a metal bat.

According to documents, San Angelo police officers were dispatched to 800 block of Murphy Street in reference to an unknown problem. 2 SAPD officers located a female victim near Knickerbocker Rd. and S. Bryant Blvd. who made an outcry that she was hit several times with a metal bat and the defendant, Carlos Edgar Morales, was the person who hit her.

Morales was located at a residence at 830 Murphy Street where he was read his Miranda rights by an officer and refused to speak without a lawyer. A metal bat was recovered outside the residence.

Investigators met with another officer and the female victim at Shannon Medical Center. The officer told the investigator that the victim was telling medical staff that Carlos Edgar Morales forced her to perform oral sex on him.

Speaking directly with the victim, the investigator learned that Morales picked up the victim at the Econolodge and offered her $300.00 to pretend to be his girlfriend. While driving to the defendant’s residence he began to be disrespectful towards her. When the victim addressed this, Morales produced a metal bat and begain striking her with it.

Morales then stood over the victim, who started crying, and forced her to perform oral sex on him with the metal bat in his hand.

Morales then forced the victim into the bedroom and forced her to undress. Due to the pain in her arms from being struck with a bat, she was only able to remove her pants and underwear. She could not remove her sweater or bra, so Morales did so for her.

After Morales forced her to remove her items from his bed, he made comments to the victim saying, “you did this to yourself” and “you should have known this was going to happen.”

Carlos Edgar Morales was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on 2/25/2022 and has $250,000.00 bond.
