San Angelo Man Indicted for Lewd Assault that Occurred in 2011

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was arrested on Wednesday for an indictment for sexual assault that occurred in 2011.

According to court documents, on Feb. 23, Joel Robledo was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for two grand jury indictments. One of the charges was for aggravated sexual assault of a child and the other is indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Robledo was indicted for the charges on Nov. 4, 2021 by a Tom Green County Grand Jury. In the indictment the district attorney accused Robledo of having sex and inappropriately touching a child younger than the age of 14 in Jan. 2011.

A warrant was issued on Nov. 12 and was served on Feb. 22. Robledo has a post indictment reporting hearing set for Mar. 2.

As for now he is being held in the Tom Green County Detention facility on a $50,000 bond.
