SAN ANGELO, TX- Two Fort Worth women have been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for possession various drugs.
According to court documents, on November 25, 2021, a DPS Trooper stopped a red Fiat vehicle for speeding. Once the trooper made contact with the individuals driving the Fiat, he smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver and passenger were identified as Gabriella Duran and Jazmin A. Sanchez respectively.
Duran admitted to having marijuana, Delta 8, and a vape device and presented the drugs to the trooper.
The trooper searched the vehicle and found a usable amount of marijuana and mushrooms along with 3 vape containers and a small amount of THC wax. Duran told the trooper that the drugs were purchased from an unknown subject and admitted the vape containers had THC in them, and the baggies contained marijuana.
Duran said that the drugs belonged to her and Sanchez. Duran also said that Sanchez was smoking one of the vape devices while they were driving.
Sanchez told the trooper that she was not aware of where the drugs came from and acted very paranoid. Some of the drugs were on the passenger floorboard where Sanchez was sitting.
Duran admitted the drugs were purchased illegally and were not purchased at a smoke shop.
Gabriella Duran and Jazmin A. Sanchez were arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility and were released on $10,000.00 bond.
A 2nd degree felony punishment is 2 to 20 years in prison and a possible fine of $10,000.00.

But they can go to a different state and all of this is perfectly legal. In Texas, a 2nd degree felony punishment is 2 to 20 years in prison and a possible fine of $10,000.00. This is dumb.
