SAN ANGELO, TX – One of the suspects accused of killing San Angeloan Kristian Rose was given a lengthy prison sentence Monday in exchange for a guilty plea.
According to court documents, on Feb. 14, Brian Garcia, 23, was sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of Christian Rose.
Rose was found dead via gunshot wound in his apartment in May, 2019. The apartment was in a small backyard in the back of his parents residence. Quickly suspects were named by the San Angelo Police Department.
Along with Garcia, Joshua Jaquez, Jacob Martinez, and Alexis Jackson were arrested and charged with various charges including murder, aggravated robbery, or burglary with intent to commit a separate felony. For the original story see: Gory Details Emerge About the Murder of Kristian Rose
Garcia is the only one so far that has been sentenced. He was offered a plea deal by the district attorney which gave Garcia the option to plea guilty for 50 years.
Garcia has been in the Tom Green County Detention Facility since Apr. 18, 2019. Now he will be placed in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and will be sent to a Texas prison.
