San Angelo Man Indicted for Brutal Knife Attack on His Girlfriend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was arrested on Monday after a grand jury indictment accused him of attempting to stab his girlfriend.

According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2022, Marco Coney, 43, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault to a family member with a previous conviction.

The indictment alleged that on or around Sep. 28, 2021 Coney threatened to stab the person he was in a dating relationship. The victim claims that during the assault the victim was afraid for their life.

A warrant for Coney's arrest was issued on Jan. 6. Coney was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Feb. 2 at 3:17 p.m. 

The two charges have been enhanced due to Coney's prior felonies.
