Murder Suspect Out on Bond Fails to Show up to Plea Deal

ABILENE, TX – An Abilene murder suspect is back in jail after she failed to show up to her plea hearing.

According to court documents, on Jan. 25, Rodasia Hines, an Abilene Murder Suspect, was rebooked into the Taylor County Jail after she failed to appear to a plea hearing on Monday afternoon.

Hines is accused of playing a role in a Robbery turned Murder that occurred on Dec. 31, 2019.

Hines, Tyree Neal, Isaiah Xavier Arredondo, Creshawn Howard, and Michael Wright-Collazo were all arrested and charged with the murder of David Devora. The group allegedly robbed Devora in order to pay the bond of a friend of the group.

Hines was scheduled to take a plea deal on Tuesday. In most cases, a plea bargain deal results in a lighter sentence. In the case of murder, the sentence an be 5-99 years or life in prison.

Hines failed to show for the plea hearing so the plea offer has been withdrawn.  She now has a jury trial scheduled for Jan. 31.
