Border Agents Rescue Several Illegal Aliens in Severe Distress

EL PASO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol Agents from El Paso Sector rescued seven illegal immigrants during separate events within a 48-hour period, Tuesday to Thursday last week.

The first incident occurred Tuesday night, at approximately 10:30 p.m., when Border Patrol Agents assigned to the El Paso Station encountered an adult male near the border barrier south of the Fonseca overpass on Cesar E. Chavez Border Highway. As agents approached the individual, it was apparent that the migrant had fallen off the barrier and sustained a head injury. A Border Patrol Agent certified as a paramedic began rendering aid as Emergency Medical Services were requested. Minutes later, El Paso Fire and EMS arrived on scene, performed an initial medical evaluation, and transported the man to a local hospital for medical care.

Another border barrier rescue occurred the following evening, by Ysleta agents, when an illegal alien was encountered with visible lacerations to his head. A Border Patrol Agent Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) arrived on-scene to render aid and determined that the illegal needed further medical treatment and transported to a local hospital.

Critical lifesaving rescues continued when on Wednesday morning, at about 7:30 a.m., Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Santa Teresa Station, along with agents of the El Paso Sector Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR), responded to a call from 911 advising of two illegal immigrants in distress. Border Patrol Agents encountered two females west of the Santa Teresa Port of Entry. One of the immigrants was found in severe medical distress and required EMS support. BORSTAR agents were able to stabilize the individual and carried her on a stretcher to an awaiting Native Air medical helicopter. The migrant was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The fourth incident occurred Wednesday night, when El Paso Sector BORSTAR agents assisted in an illegal alien entry west of the Santa Teresa Port of Entry. At 11:00 p.m., agents encountered a group of six illegals. Within the group, a female migrant stated that she was unable to walk and complained of severe pain in her right ankle. BORSTAR EMT trained personnel provided immediate medical attention and transferred the female to a local hospital for treatment after diagnosing a possible broken ankle.

Fifth incident occurred Thursday night, at approximately 10:30 p.m., after agents from the Santa Teresa Station were notified by 911 of two lost subjects in the remote desert between Columbus and the Santa Teresa Port of Entry. With U.S. Customs and Border Protection El Paso Air Branch aircraft assistance, agents encountered two subjects severely dehydrated. Subjects claimed to not have food or water in over 24-hours. Subjects were provided with immediate medical attention.

Medically trained specialty units like BORSTAR and our Border Patrol EMTs along with the use of technology, are vital resources used to preserve life, providing a rapid response and assistance to people in distress. Since Fiscal Year 2022 began, El Paso Sector agents have performed 165 rescues.

“Transnational Criminal Organizations endanger migrants every day. Their callousness and complete disregard for human life is evident every time they encourage and in some cases force migrants to climb border barriers or abandon migrants when injured along the journey,” said El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez. “Had it not been for the rapid medical response and rescue efforts of our Border Patrol Agents, these migrants would have faced an uncertain outcome. I’m extremely proud of our Border Patrol Agents who everyday demonstrate tremendous compassion and life-saving skill in the performance of their duties.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection welcomes assistance from the community. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activity to the U.S. Border Patrol while remaining anonymous by calling 1-800-635- 2509.

I'm surprised republicans haven't chimed in saying that Biden's Border Patrol should have let them die like republicans usually do. Because Jesus himself said to not help immigrants or the poor right?

Either way, another great job by Biden's Border Patrol!

Also, they were on this side of the "wall", which means it didn't stop them from coming over. It has been proven over and over to be useless.

ME Someone, Tue, 01/25/2022 - 18:24

You mean when he said don't come?

Are you still beating your wife?

ME Someone, Tue, 01/25/2022 - 19:27

So you are admitting you still beat your wife then? Figures.

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 06:10

I though you people claimed that Latinos vote republican more than democrat?

Either way, undocumented immigrants can't vote, even all the republicans run investigations has found no evidence that they do.

Oh please. If that’s the case then why do democrats want to unconstitutionally federalize our election laws with no voter ID required?

Oh that’s right…according to them requiring ID, which btw an overwhelming majority of people agree with, is an “undue burden” to vote lol.

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 16:23

ID is fine, just mail one for free to every eligible voter, along with a ballot. But I am assuming you wouldn't like that would you?

Also, it's like the insurance law for guns in California, which is stupid. How would you like it if you had to have liability insurance for every gun you owned and pay a fee every year for those guns? Undue burden to a constitutional right you say? Same thing.

You really don’t have a clue do you? We’re a constitutional republic of states that’s why gun laws (as well as voting laws) vary state by state. It’s a perfect system…if you don’t agree with the laws,  then you can “vote with your feet” and move to another state ;)

Another sad and tired "get out" from someone who is scared of change and anyone that doesn't have their same cult like mentality.

It's very telling when you republicans show your true colors and your hatred for your fellow Americans by tell them to leave.

Doesn’t matter anyway. Biden’s BBB agenda is DONE along with democrats’ attempt to federalize our election laws and do away with the filibuster in the Senate…which would be a monumentally stupid thing to do no matter which “side” you’re on ;)

Trumps failed to pass his infrastructure bill too ya know, you pointing out biden's failures is the same thing, though biden still has time, trump is the one that is truly "done". Trump also failed to even come up with a healthcare bill that he kept promising. He also failed to show his tax returns which he said he would. He also FAILED to be reelected by the largest margin of votes in history. And you can't handle it so you cry about biden, which is hilarious. trump is a failure, as republicans usually are.

That had to do with Obama being first to invoke the so-called “nuclear option” for presidential appointees…which opened the door for Trump to do the same thing ;)

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 19:05

If it was bad when Obama did it, it was also bad when trump did it. You can't have it both ways.

Uuuuh that’s what I said…monumentally stupid no matter which side you’re on ;)

ME Someone, Thu, 01/27/2022 - 10:50

Then McConnel used the "nuclear option" to supreme court nominees after he blocked Obamas pick because it was an "election year" yet when it was an election year for trump he rammed through a second pick quicker than anyone in history just days before an election. 2 supreme court seats stolen by the republicans.

The "nuclear option" just allows a standard majority vote, you just don't like it because your people can't block things when it's used, yet your people have used it more than democrats.

But that's alright, democrats are going to use your republican playbook to replace Breyer.

Uuuuh that would be the democrat playbook. Like I explained, Obama was first to invoke the so-called nuclear option for presidential appointees ;)

ME Someone, Thu, 01/27/2022 - 11:27

McConnel did it for supreme court nominees and used it twice. To steal 2 supreme court seats. Now Breyer is going to be replaced using the same quick process used with Barrett in an election year that McConnel first said couldn't be done with Obamas pick Merrick garland. That is the playbook I am talking about.

ME Someone, Thu, 01/27/2022 - 11:37

"Same “playbook” Supreme Court judges appointed by the president ;"

I don't know what you are trying to say here.

Turns out the Framers were extremely smart people. Which begs the question…why do you hate the Constitution?

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 19:09

"why do you hate the Constitution?"

More projection from the republicans who are actively taking rights away from people, banning and burning books, drinking their own pee, and complaining that their candy isn't sexy enough anymore.

Ha Ha. You can tell when you twang a nerve on ol meso, they start spewing snowflake narrative news links(:(:(:

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 23:46

Yup, you got me. Now go drink your pee and burn books in your safe space like republicans like to do.

ME Someone, Wed, 01/26/2022 - 23:58

Here's what republicans really think,

Idolizing Nazi's, trying to take over the government because of a lie that they can't even prove, drinking their own pee, refusing vaccines because they hate their Americans and America, voter suppression, book burning and banning, dang I could go on, but that's republicans for you.

Oh, and crying about their candy not being "sexy" anymore, who's the real "snowflakes"? Republicans, it's always projection with them, everything they accuse other people of doing they are actually doing themselves.

Sorry concerned parents took your  “Gender Queer” books and those talking about pedophilia out of their schools I’m sure they’re for sale on Amazon for those wanting their child to read them lol.

ME Someone, Thu, 01/27/2022 - 11:03

I get what you are trying to say, but they are also removing books that teach about what really happened pre-1865. It's not just certain books, it's all books that they do not like. Where does it end? They will eventually start banning books that don't teach exactly what they want, like evolution, which is wrong. If you allow this they will just run with it and eventually over time ban everything but the Bible. That is the point and their end goal, and it's obvious.

ME Someone, Thu, 01/27/2022 - 11:36

Obvious to anyone paying attention to what republicans have been trying to do for decades.
