Violent Texas Teens Charged for Beating Perv Step Dad to Death

 

MCALLEN, TX – Three 18-year-old boys are currently behind bars for beating their stepfather to death after learning their stepfather sexually abused their younger sibling. 

According to the Pharr Police Department, on Jan. 23, Alexandro Trevino, 18, Christian Trevino, 18, and Juan Eduardo Melendez, 18, were arrested for crimes in connection to the murder of 42-year-old Gabriel Quintanilla.

Quintanilla, the three men's stepfather, was wanted for continuous sexual abuse of a child and continuous family violence. The three men discovered that Quintanilla had sexually abused their 9-year-old sibling.

The first fight occurred between both of the Trevinos and Quintanilla happened at the family's residence. After the beating, Quintanilla left the home and walked to a nearby apartment complex. 

This is when Juan Melendez got involved and joined the two. The three then beat the man while at the complex. The three then left the complex to get in a truck. They returned to find Quintanilla who was walking down the street near the complex. 

The three then got out and beat him a third time. The last time they used brass knuckles. After the final fight the three threw his body in the bed of the truck and dumped his body in a field.

Police say Quintanilla was more than likely still alive when his body was dumped in the field.

The charges are as followed:

  • Alexandro Trevino - Aggravated Assault FV and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity
  • • Christian Trevino - Aggravated Assault FV and Capital Murder, Engaging In Criminal Activity
  • • Juan Eduardo Melendez - Capital Murder, Aggravated Assault,  and Engaging in Criminal Activity

Christian Trevino and Juan Eduardo Melendez were charged with capital murder as they are believed to have caused the fatal blows to Quintanilla.
