Fugitive Fake Private Investigator Arrested in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A professional conman was arrested in San Angelo on Sunday night.

According to booking reports, on Jan. 2, John Russell, 60, of San Angelo, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for warrants out of Reagan County.

Earlier in the week the RCSO sent out a wanted person notice for Russell warning the public that he was a professional con-artist.

RCSO outed all of Russell alias. These included John David Collier, Keith Hill, Mark Allen Nelson, David Russell, Tommy Ruston, Michael William Weston, John Wilson, John O'Conner, and Jonathon O'Conner. Russell had multiple drivers licenses from multiple states including Mississippi and Arkansas.

In the release the RCSO confirmed that there were three warrants out for his arrest. Two were for impersonating a private investigator while the other was for fraud in Mississippi.

It was also revealed that Russell was in San Angelo driving a 2017 Silver Chevrolet Silverado that was purchased das before Christmas.
