San Angelo Fugitive Arrested AFter Years On The Run

SAN ANGELO, TX –– After spending more than four years on the run, the law has finally caught up with 64-year-old Debra Garcia.

According to the Tom Green County jail records, Garcia was booked on December 30th.

Back in 2015, Garcia was employed as a "personal care home" for an elderly patient in San Angelo. According to court documents, Garcia and her husband, Ramon Garcia, failed to provide medical care to the victim, resulting in her death.

When the victim, 74-year-old  Edna Adian, was transported to the hospital doctors discovered she suffered from acute ulcers and bedsores. Investigators discovered open wounds on her hip, legs, and feet.

The injuries were so severe Adian would ultimately succumb to her injuries just days later.

As a result of the preliminary investigation, Garcia and her husband were charged with one count of injury to an elderly person with serious bodily injury.

In 2017, the couple jumped their bail and remained on the run for several years.

At this time, Debra Garcia has been arrested and is facing charges of bail jumping and injury to an elderly individual.
