Violent Fugitive Wanted for Brutally Stabbing a Woman Surrenders to San Angelo Police

 

SAN ANGELO, TX –– Not everything was jolly the day after Christmas in San Angelo after a domestic disturbance turned violent.

According to SAPD, shortly before 10:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 600blk of West 16th street for reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 37-year-old female victim with multiple stab wounds.

Responding officers applied a tourniquet to one of the victim's arms that were bleeding profusely. She was then transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment.

The subsequent investigation identified a suspect as 32-year-old Rashad Carter. According to authorities, Carter stabbed the victim during a domestic dispute and fled the scene before officers arrived.

As a result of the investigation, SAPD obtained an arrest warrant for Aggravated Assualt with a Deadly Weapon for Carter. Officers were unable to locate Carter after the incident.

On Tuesday, December 28th, Carter turned himself in voluntarily to SAPD and he was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
