5 Texas High School Students Charged with Brutal Lewd Hazing Assault

EULA, TX – The five male Texas high school students who were accused of sexually assaulting a male classmate in September have been charged with felony assault and two have been arrested.

As previously reported, on Sep. 16, deputies with the Callahan County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Eula High School for reports of a sexual assault that occurred on campus.

On that day, the CCSO learned that a hazing incident had taken place inside of the school where a male was sexually assaulted by a number of his classmates. At the time, CCSO Sheriff Eric Pechacek confirmed that it would be a lengthy investigation.

"The school was an integral part of our investigation and notified us when they first learned of the incident," said Sheriff Eric Pechacek. "CCSO takes cases of sexual assault very seriously and we are confident we will prosecute as we are allowed by the criminal statute."

The alleged assault occurred during the last period of the day, which was athletics. The assault is assumed to have occurred in the locker room.

Now after two months, three warrants have been issued for the arrest of Jonathan Romer, 17, and Paxton Rock, 18, and another unnamed juvenile. Romer and Rock turned themselves in over the past weekend while the other has not been arrested. Another two juvenile students are also expected to be charged with sexual assault.
