San Angelo Police Investigate 'Fake' Car vs. Tipsy Pedestrian Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX – A drunk teen apparently faked a car crash early Friday morning after police found him passed out on Loop 306.

According to information from the San Angelo Police Department, on Nov. 12 at around 2:30 a.m., officers with the SAPD were dispatched to Knickerbocker and Loop 306 for the report of a possible crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When they arrived, the officers discovered a 19-year-old male that was passed out on the ground at this location. He claimed that he had been struck by a vehicle and was taken to Shannon Downtown.

Once the teen was taken to hospital, it was learned that he did not have any serious injuries.

Officers investigated the incident but were unable to get the information needed for a report due to the subject being highly intoxicated and his lack of compliance with the investigation.

No police report is showing to have been written at this time.
