Man Suspected of Performing Deviant Acts on a Pre-teen Boy Indicted by Grand Jury

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A male suspect from Eastland was indicted in Tom Green County last month after a preteen made an outcry of being sexually assaulted as a child.

According to court documents, on Apr. 10, 2021, detectives with the San Angelo Police Department CID unit were alerted to a child who had made an outcry of sexual assault. 

When they met with the preteen, the victim described to the officers of how the alleged sexual assault occurred. 

The victim claimed that the deviant attacks during the time period of Feb. 1, 2016 to Jan. 5, 2017 when the child was between the ages of six and seven. 

During that time period the child alleges that Larry Angel Delacruz, 27, sexually assaulted the child on multiple occasions. 

The SAPD then reached out to the Eastland Police Department then spoke with Delacruz. He told them that about five weeks before moving out of the residence, where the child and a woman lived, he has sexually assaulted the child by making his tongue come in contact with the victim's anus.

He confirmed that these types of assaults happened on more than one occasion.

On Apr. 22, Delacruz was arrested and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14. He was indicted on the charge on Oct. 15. 

He has an initial pre-trial scheduled for Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.
