Texas DPS Releases Details on Manhunt in North San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo law enforcement released a statement on Saturday morning regarding the manhunt that occurred in North San Angelo the day prior.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Oct. 23 at approximately 12:52 P.M., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle for displaying expired registration on U.S. 87 near North Chadbourne Street.

While attempting to make contact, the rider began evading. After a brief pursuit the rider left the motorcycle near Clearwater Street and began evading on foot.

With the assistance of the San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) and Tom Green County Sheriffs Office (TGCSO) Jonathan Paul Jensen, 24 YOA, of San Angelo was located and arrested near Fruitland Farm Court without incident.

Jensen was later booked into Tom Green County Jail for Evading Arrest Detention in a Vehicle, a 3rd Degree Felony.

Jenson remains in the detention facility as his bond has not been set at this time.
