San Angelo Man Indicted for Spitting on Cops

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for spitting on two police officers.

According to court documents, on July 8, 2021, police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Ben Ficklin Road regarding a fight.

Jacob Sanchez had gotten into a fight and a domestic assault occurred when Sanchez pulled the victim’s hair. The victim stated that Sanchez had slapped her as well.

When officers arrived, they put Sanchez in handcuffs attempted to put him in a police vehicle. While speaking to the victim, Jacob Sanchez started to resist and according to both officers, Sanchez spit in both of their faces.

Jacob Sanchez was arrested on July 8th, 2021 and was released the same day on $20,000.00 bond. Sanchez has been charged with two counts of harassment of a public servant, which are 3rd degree felonies and faces 2-10 years in prison and up to a $10,000.00 fine.
