Plainview Man Sentenced for Stealing Semi Truck from PAK Quality Foods

SAN ANGELO  – A Plainview man was sentenced Monday in Tom Green County district court after he stole a brand new Semi-truck from a local packaging plant.

According to court documents, on Sep. 13, Jo Cass Shipp was sentenced to three years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system after pleading guilty to theft of property between $150,000 to $300,000.

The charge came after Shipp was arrested in May 2020 for allegedly stealing 2021 White Volvo Truck Tractor.

Shipp stole the semi-truck from the PAK Quality Foods located 404 Pulliam St on May 11, 2020 at around 11 p.m.

The following morning officers with the Granbury Police Department stopped the truck and arrested Shipp.

Thanks to security cameras at the PAK Quality Foods, detectives were able to identify him. He was then charged with theft of property between $150,000 to $300,000.

Now Shipp will spend the next three years in prison.
