Lubbock Dentist to Plead Guilty After Decades of Targeting Minors

LUBBOCK – Months after Jason White was arrested on charges related to child pornography, the Lubbock area dentist will plead guilty.

According to court documents, White was originally charged with sixteen counts relating to child pornography. In exchange for a guilty plea, White will only plea to one count of production of child pornography.

Court documents allege White was involved in a decades-long practice that targeted teenage boys.

One of the earliest assaults allegedly occurred between September 1998 and September 1999. According to investigators, during that time, White transported a 16-year-old male, identified as John Doe 5, from New Mexico to Lubbock with the "intent to engage in sexual activity." White was 19 at the time.

According to authorities between March 2004 and March 2006, White targeted a 15-year-old boy identified as John Doe 4. While communicating over the phone and on the internet,  White "persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced John Doe 4 to travel to Lubbock for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity."

From January 2005 to May 2005, White targeted yet another teen male, John Doe 7. According to investigators, White told the 17-year-old he had a pornography business and that the teen would make a lot of money if he participated.

Investigators detailed an instance when John Doe 7 showed up at White's house in Lubbock for the "filming" of an adult video. Once the teen arrived, White stated the film crew had canceled and engaged in sexual activity with John Doe 7.

In December of 2009, 31-year-old White recorded a video of himself performing oral sex and sharing a sex toy with John Doe 15 -- who was 17 and a high school student. 

The assaults and targeting of young men continued as recently as December 2020, with a 13-year-old victim, John Doe 2.

White allegedly bought the teen gifts and sex toys to encourage John Doe 2 to use them. White then instructed the teen to "make videos of himself masturbating when he turned 17."

The disgraced dentist then showed the teen videos of himself masturbating and pornography online. According to the investigation, White than "enticed John Doe 2 into sexual activity."

"White continued using the ruse of having a pornography business to entice, and attempt to entice, children into sexual activity and sexually explicit conduct. White used this ruse in 2019 and 2020, with John Doe 1, John Doe 2, and John Doe 3," court documents allege. "In 2019 and 2020, White had John Doe 1, John Doe 2, and John Doe 3 visit his Residence. While at the Residence, among other behavior, White gave John Doe 1, John Doe 2, and John Doe 3 sex toys.”

During a search of White's assets, discovered a Dropbox account that depicted sexual acts being committed with teen males.

In exchange for a guilty plea, White will only plead to one count of production of child pornography. He could face between 15 to 30 years in prison and be required to register as a sex offender. White will also be placed on supervised release after his prison sentence.

White will agree to forfeit his digital media, residence, and ranch because they were used to commit crimes.

The sentencing date has not been set at this time for the federal charges. White still faces state charges of sexual performance by a child.
