Border Patrol High Speed Chase with 18-wheeler Ends with Arrests Near Sonora

 

SONORA, TX – Sutton County Sheriff's deputies and border patrol agents where involved in a high speed chase with a tractor trailer Wednesday night in Sutton County.

According to the Sutton County Sheriff's Office, on Aug. 8 at approximately 10:50 p.m., SCSO Deputies and local DPS Troopers responded to S. U.S. 277 to assist Val Verde Border Patrol, Troopers & Edward's County Deputies with a pursuit of an 18 wheeler headed NB from the Border Patrol Checkpoint in Val Verde County.

The truck failed to stop at the Checkpoint and led multiple agency units northbound through multiple spike deployments, until eventually coming to a stop following another successful spike strip in Sutton County, North of SCR 406, on S. Highway 277.

One male was taken into custody with charges pending from Border Patrol.
