Teen Arrested After Shooting in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX –– With the help of the SWAT Team, the Abilene Police Department arrested a shooting suspect on Wednesday evening.

According to APD, law enforcement served a warrant on a home located in Lytle South.

Members of Major Investigations Bureau along with SWAT, Surveillance Apprehension and Tactics Team (SATT), and APD surrounded a home on the 3700 block of Purdue.

Just before 8:00 p.m., 17-year-old Armando Santana was taken into custody without incident.

Santana was wanted after he allegedly shot at a vehicle a father and his daughter who were inside their vehicle. The duo was not injured in the shooting and the daughter identified Santana.

Santana was arrested and transported into the Taylor County Jail. He was charged with First Degree Felony Aggravated Assault.

Santana is also a person of interest in other non-related criminal investigations. 18-year-old Marcus Solis was also arrested at the home. He was wanted for a Third Degree Felony Evading Arrest warrant.
