Brady Man Brutally Murdered in the Street – Suspect in Custody

 

BRADY, TX – A Brady man was arrested Sunday after police found another Brady resident dead in the street.

According to the court documents, on Aug. 14, officers with the Brady Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of S. Wall st. for the report of a gunshot victim.

When they arrived they found a 40-year-old male that was laying in the street with gunshot wounds. EMS was also dispatched to the scene and attempted live saving measures but was unsuccessful.

Police have identified the deceased as Jason Allan Cumbie, 40, of Brady. Justice of the Peace Maggie Sawyer ordered an autopsy for the body.

Witness statements were taken and another Brady resident, 40-year-old Michael Tarr, was arrested for Murder. He is currently is the McCulloch County Jail.
