Blue Alert Issued for a Deputy Shot During Traffic Stop Near Wichita Falls

 

WICHITA FALLS, TX — Law enforcement in Clay County new Wichita Falls is looking for a shooting suspect after a Clay County sheriff’s deputy was shot Monday night during a traffic stop at a Jolly Truck Stop there.

Clay County Sheriff Jeff Lyde said law enforcement is looking for a white Cadillac 4-door sedan with Texas plate FXJ-1334. It has a bullet hole in the back of it, he said. If you see it call 911.

Lyde said the deputy is expected to recover.
