MENARD,TX – The Menard County Sheriff’s Office is dealing with a standoff situation near Menard high school in the southwest part of the small city.
Menard County Judge Brandon Corbin said in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon that the Menard County Sheriff’s Office is dealing with a barricaded fugitive near the corner of Callan Street and West Travis Street.
The Menard County Sheriff’s Office repeated this statement.
Until the situation is resolved, please avoid the area. The Community Center and the County Courthouse will be closed.
The Menard County Judge also asked that if you see anything suspicious, please call the police.
