BREAKING: Fugitives Captured After Dangerous High Speed Chase

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police chased a suspect vehicle through southwest San Angelo Wednesday evening after the vehicle evaded a traffic stop.

According to San Angelo Police Department’s Lt. Craig Thomason, units attempted to stop a vehicle in the vicinity of Twin Mountain and Southwest Blvd. when the driver of the white pickup fled the scene.

The high speed chase went down Southwest Blvd. through the construction at Southland and the construction near McDonald's restaurant.  Reports indicate the vehicle turned right onto Honeysuckle and the police units lost sight of the suspect vehicle.

Officers re-acquired the vehicle at Oxford and College Hills where it crashed.  They report there were two suspects evading police on foot.  Officials deployed a drone in the parking lot of Holy Angels Church on the corner of A&M Ave. and SAC st.

Officers set up a perimeter and were searching for the suspects.

This is a developing story.

UPDATE:  9:41 p.m.

San Angelo Police Officer John Bouligny said the two fugitives have been apprehended.  They are described as a juvenile male and an adult female.

The San Angelo Police Department is expected to release more information on Thursday.
