Odessa Woman Wanted for Murder Captured in Mexico

 

ODESSA, TX – More than two months after an Odessa woman allegedly murdered her husband, 29-year-old Clara Ledward has been taken into custody.

According to authorities, Leward was shot and taken into custody by Mexican authorities in  Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on Thursday.

Ledward was extradited to Brewster County to be treated for her injuries at an Alpine hospital. She was placed in the custody of the Odessa Police Department.

Details have not been released regarding the murder of 24-year-old Jacob Ledward at this time.

Ledward has been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
