EL PASO,TX – An El Paso man is facing animal cruelty charges after dumping his dog on the side of the road, leaving the husky to chase after the vehicle as it sped away.
Captured on video and posted to Instagram, a younger man gets out of a Jeep with the dog and takes the leash off it. He then gets back into the vehicle and as the Jeep starts to take off, the husky chases after it.
The video was viewed more than a million times and is as heartbreaking as it sounds.

The woman who recorded the video called the sheriff’s office and with the help of a dog rescuer, helped the husky to safety.
According to officials, the dog was in good health and did find a foster home. It’s new name is Nanook.
As for the driver of the Jeep, he was identified as Luis Antonio Campos and has been charged with animal cruelty. He is currently being held on a $5,000.00 bond.
Additional arrests are expected in the investigation.
