Tom Green County Sheriff's Holiday Traffic Program Made Roadways Safer

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – During the 2021 4th of July holiday period, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office participated in the Texas Department of Transportation "Impaired Drivers Mobility" campaign. Deputies provided extra patrol during the holiday weekend period and conducted 142 traffic stops.

During these traffic stops, deputies took 26 enforcement actions for speeding, 10 enforcement actions for intersection violations, and 134 enforcement actions for other traffic violations.

Deputies also arrested nine individuals for the following violations: 2- driving while intoxicated, 1- evading with a motor vehicle, 1-Possession of a controlled substance (felony), 2- Possession of marijuana, and 3- outstanding arrest warrants.
