Carlsbad Man Sentenced to Prison for Assaulting Teen in Grape Creek

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Carlsbad Man was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a minor.

According to court documents, on Jul. 14, Bradley Doan, 23, was sentenced to 2 years in prison for sexual assault of a child.

Doan was first accused of the crime in May of 2019 when he and a 15-year-old had sex in a home in on Cottontail Lane in Grape Creek.

At the time of the assault Doan was 21. When Tom Green County Sheriff Deputies asked Doan about the assault he admitted to knowing the girl for years and that he knew she was a minor.

He was arrested for sexual assault of a child on Aug. 12, 2019 and was released on a personal recognizance bond on Nov. 11, 2019. That PR was forfeited on Apr. 22 after Doan failed to show up to court on Mar. 16.

He will now be sent to prison and will spend the next two years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. 

He will now have to register as a sex offender for the remained of his life.
