Troubled Teen Arrested as Second Suspect in Inn of the Conchos Murder

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department has provided an update on the Inn of the Conchos murder that occurred during the last days of June.

According to SAPD, a second suspect has been arrested in connection to the case.

The suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Joshua Tyler Garcia. According to authorities, Garcia turned himself into the Lubbock County Jail for an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant from Lubbock, TX.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, back on January 18th  officers were dispatched to 45th Street for reports of a vehicle burglary.

When the responding officer arrived at the scene he located the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

Garcia was a passenger in the vehicle and fired multiple shots at the officer’s patrol vehicle. The patrol vehicle was stuck and disabled, but the officer was not injured.

On July 9th, investigators with the SAPD Criminal Investigations Division obtained a murder warrant for Garcia in connection to the death of 41-year-old Daniel Chandler.

San Angelo Live previously reported Chandler was shot at the hotel.
