Man Arrested for Robbing and Stabbing Chicken Restaurant Employee

 

ODESSA,TX – Ashton Ward has been arrested after stabbing two people in a Popeyes Chicken restaurant in Odessa he was attempting to rob Tuesday.

According to the Odessa Police, on July 6th, officers responded to the Popeyes on Tanglewood around midnight for a robbery.

Ashton Ward, 17, walked into the Popeyes demanding money and threatening people with a knife. He was being held down by two people and had stabbed an employee.

A man and a woman, both in their late 20s, were holding Ward down and both had been stabbed. The man was transported to the hospital for serious injuries.

Ashton Tyzain Ward was arrested, booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center, and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
