SAN ANGELO: TX – A San Angelo man has been arrested for his involvement in the shooting that occurred at the Fairview Mobile Home Park located at 311 North Bell Street on July 7th, 2021.
According to court documents, Jason Lujan was arrested after San Angelo police were dispatched to a shooting that occurred on N. Bell St. at the Fairview Mobile Home Park. Multiple witnesses were at the scene and two victims were transported to Shannon Medical Center.
A witness stated the suspect fled the scene in an older model pickup truck with a white stripe down the middle of the hood. A sergeant with the Criminal Investigation Division stopped the suspected vehicle at the 800 block of Shiloh Street. Three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the CID office to be interviewed.
Investigators stopped at Shannon Hospital to check on the two victims. One had been shot in the shoulder and the leg. He was also on a breathing tube but was expected to survive the incident. The other victim was shot in the arm and was going to be taken by helicopter to University Medical Center in Lubbock.
In the coming moments, the second victim was going to be flown out to Lubbock but not before giving a statement to the investigator.
The second victim said that a female had come to the house and had brought two other people with her, a man and a woman he did not know. He said the man produced a gun and shot him and the other victim. This victim couldn’t provide more information as he was loaded onto a helicopter bound for Lubbock.
The investigator interviewed the three suspects that had been pulled over, two women and Jason Lujan. Lujan did not give a reason for them being at the location where the shooting took place.
Lujan stated that someone at the residence came outside and attacked one of the females. Lujan told the subject to fight him instead of one of the females.
This person then put his hands behind his back as if he was going to a gun and Lujan produced a gun of his own and shot the victim. Lujan shot the second victim as he approached him while he was shooting the first victim.
No guns were found at the residence or on the victims.
According to a press release, both victims are in stable condition.
Lujan was arrested and booked into the TGCDF on July 8th, 2021 and no bond has been set.
