San Angelo Woman Indicted for Stabbing at State School

 

CARLSBAD, TX – Veronica Perez has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in June for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Tom Green County Sheriff deputies responded to the San Angelo State Supported Living Center, located at 11640 North US Highway 87 in Carlsbad, Texas on April 10, 2021 for a stabbing incident.

When deputies arrived, the victim was being treated for multiple stab wounds to her leg, arm, and back. The victim was transported to Shannon Hospital for further treatment.

Two employees provided written statements about the stabbing that had occurred.

One of the employees saw Veronica Perez and the victim fighting and the other saw Perez stab the victim with a pair of scissors. Both of the employees saw blood on the ground after the stabbing took place.

A third employee also provided a written statement and said Veronica Perez had a pair of scissors in her hand, saw her stab the victim and wrote that Perez told the victim “I’ll kill you b---h”.

The third employee also wrote that the victim’s pants were soaked in blood after the assault.

Video surveillance from the State Supported Living Center was viewed and showed Perez stabbing the victim multiple times.

According to the victim’s records, she had a total of 7 puncture wounds to her leg, arm and her back.

Veronica Perez was booked into the TGCDF on April 21, 2021 and is currently not an inmate in the jail.
