SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was indicted in June for sexually assaulting a child.
According to court documents, on Oct. 9, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were alerted about a child who made an outcry of being sexually assaulted.
The officers met with the child who told them that on August 25, 2019, she was sexually assaulted by Joe Holguin. She claimed that on that day she was taking a shower and noticed Holguin peeping at her through the window.
She then got out of the shower and proceeded to get dressed. While getting dressed, the child heard a knock on the door and saw Holguin. The child told Holguin that the homeowner was not home and instead of leaving he pushed through the door.
Once inside, the child claims that Holguin pushed her to the floor and sexually assaulted her.
Officers then spoke with the homeowner who claimed that he was a friend of Holguin and that he lived several blocks away from the home. At the time of the assault the homeowner was in Mexico.
Holguin was then interviewed and told the officers an entirely different story but did end up admitting to the sexual assault. He was then arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Holguin was indicted on the charges on Jun. 9. In the indictment the District Attorney's office stated that the child was under the age of 14 during the time of the assault.
After seven months of being in the Tom Green County Jail, Holguin bonded out. His bond was set at $70,000. While out on bond Holguin can have no contact with the victim.

PermalinkThis city reeks of degenerates and to see it in our own council reps is really no shock at all. It's like the judges here are more than ok with the sexual mistreatment of adolescents and probably get a little action on the side themselves. It's pathetic to say the least.
