SAN ANGELO, TX – Jonathan Anthony Sanchez was indicted in May by a Tom Green County grand jury for manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.
On March 16th, 2021, the sheriff’s office received written consent to search room 119 at the San Angelo Lodge located at 1717 West Beaureguard.
When deputies opened the door, Sanchez was inside the room and told them he was just there to help another person. Sanchez then requested to leave and was released.
While searching the room, a glass meth pipe was found under the mattress.
Continuing their search inside the bathroom, deputies found a black lunch box in a trash can with a plethora of evidence.
Inside the lunch box was 7 baggies of marijuana and 3 baggies that contained a white crystal substance.
A digital scale was also discovered inside the lunch box.
To top it all off, Sanchez’s debit card was found as well in the lunch box.
The baggies of cannabis weighed 1.92 ounces and the white crystal substance that was found did field test positive for methamphetamine. The 3 baggies of meth weighed 6.44 grams.
Then again on April 2nd, 2021, a sheriff’s deputy responded to the San Angelo Lodge to room #225 with a warrant for Sanchez.
Sanchez opened the door and surrendered without incident. He was placed in handcuffs and a search of his person revealed two baggies of marijuana and a small “ziplock” style bag of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The crystal-like substance was field tested and did test positive for meth with a weight of less than one gram.
Sanchez was booked on April 2nd, 2021 and was released the next day on $25,000.00 bond.
