Mass Shooting on 6th St. in Austin During Biker Rally

 

AUSTIN, TX – Thirteen people were shot on 6th St. in Austin early Saturday morning and the shooter is still on the loose.  

According to reports, a large crowd was on the famed downtown street during a biker rally early Saturday morning when shots rang out.  

Interim police chief Joe Chacon held a news conference around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.  Chacon says 11 of the 13 victims were in stable condition and 2 were in critical condition.  There are no fatalities at this time.  

Police investigators are looking at surveillance video from several businesses in an attempt to identify the shooter or shooters.
