San Angelo Teen Indicted for Drive-By Shooting

SAN ANGELO, TX – Haston Bilbo was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in May for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to court documents, San Angelo Police Department officers responded to a drive-by shooting near the Glenmore neighborhood.

One of the victims stated that he was being followed closely by a blue colored Chevy Malibu. The victim pulled over to allow the Malibu to pass.

One victim said the driver of the Malibu had his whole upper body out of the driver’s side window then shot at the victims. One round struck the rear bumper of the victim’s vehicle.

Both victims were not harmed.

The victim attempted to follow the shooter to get a license plate number but gave up for fear of being shot at again.

Police believed the shooter to be Haston Bilbo.

Bilbo’s name had come up before due to another shooting involving a blue Chevy Malibu.

Bilbo was booked on February 24th, 2021 and is currently an inmate at the TGCDF with a $250,000.00 bond.

Bilbo is due in court for an initial pretrial hearing on June 16th, 2021. His trial is currently set for November 1st, 2021.
