Fight in a Car Causes Crash on Houston Harte

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An argument aboard a red passenger car caused a crash shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday shutting down traffic on Houston-Harte near Chadbourne St.

According to SAPD Officer Long, the driver and passenger got into a disagreement as the two individuals traveled east on Houston Harte.

The driver then pulled the emergency brake and began sliding sideways on the road. The swerving caused a dark-colored  SUV, also traveling east, to strike the passenger car.

A passenger traveling in the SUV was transported to Shannon for treatment of unknown injuries.

The crash caused a closure of the Chadbourne St. exit for more than half an hour as first responders worked to clear the scene.

The driver of the red vehicle was issued multiple citations.
