WATCH: Witness Details Crash Involving a Pedestrian

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A pedestrian was injured Friday afternoon after being struck by a car during the lunchtime rush.

According to the officers on scene, on May 2, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Parkview and Knickerbocker Rd. for the report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

When the officers and medics arrived on scene a male was found with injuries after being struck by a black Nissan Pathfinder. The man was transported to Shannon South. The extent of his injuries were not revealed to reporters on scene.  

Witnesses on scene were able to tell San Angelo LIVE! reporters what they saw happened. For her statement see the video below.

In the video the victim said that the woman "knocked his shoes off." Reporters on scene said that the man's glasses were still on the hood of the car after the woman drove down the street near Sonic. The witness also said that the woman was an elderly lady and questioned her ability to operate a vehicle.

Officers on scene confirmed that no tickets were given out at this time. That may change after the investigation is concluded.
