Couple Arrested for Dealing Drugs Near Angelo State University

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A couple was arrested during a drug bust Wednesday afternoon a block away from the Angelo State University campus.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on May 19, Alyson Fly, 23, and Jared McGuffin, 23, were arrested for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a marijuana during a street crimes division warrant search of a residence in the 1700 block of S. Van Buren st.

San Angelo LIVE! was alerted to the drug bust and reporters took photos of the scene.

The majority of officers involved in the drug bust were driving unmarked vehicles so only a limited amount of footage was shot.

The house was one block away from Angelo State University, less than a mile away from a daycare center and extremely close to Santa Rita elementary. 

During the search, detectives located and seized approximately 400 grams of THC products, cash, and several firearms.

Fly and McGuffin were booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility and remain there on a $51,000 bond.
