Couple Sentenced for Lewd Acts with Child

ODESSA, TX – An Odessa couple has been sentenced for sexually abusing a child over the course of two years.

Michael and Martha Mulkey have been sentenced after pleding guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The Mulkeys were arrested in April of 2018 after a child brought the abuse to the attention of the school counselor in December 2017.

The abuse went on for two years and the last day of reported abuse was on Christmas of 2017.

Michael Mulkey was sentenced to 25 years in prison while Martha was sentenced to 45 years. Both also will have to register as sex offenders as well.

Justice system is a joke my husband got 60 yrs for a non violent crime. A virtual life sentence and these idiots get 25yrs for doing harm to a child. I don't understand it
