Police Arrest Second Suspect In Homicide Investigation

SWEETWATER, TX – A new development has been announced in the homicide investigation involving Brenda Gamble. Gamble was arrested after the Nolan County Crime Stoppers shared a post on Facebook.

According to jail records, a second suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a 30-year-old Sweetwater woman.

The Sweetwater Police Department has confirmed Michael Langston Franks was also charged with criminally negligent homicide.

According to law enforcement, officers found Betty Thompson deceased in a home on the 600 block of Bowie St.

After Thompson's body was sent for an autopsy in Lubbock, the findings led authorities to believe both Franks and Gamble were involved in her death.
