Teen High on the Reefer Indicted for Multiple Crimes

SAN ANGELO, TX – An 18-year-old frequent flyer has been indicted for multiple crimes including a shooting that happened in Oct. 2020.

According to court documents, on Oct. 18, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 2800 block of Pecan St. for the report of shots fired.

When the officers arrived on scene they discovered a large party at one of the houses on Pecan. When they spoke with people in the house they learned that a group of people got into an altercation. During the fight several people pulled guns and fired them. During the shootout at least one man was shot.

A statement from a witness claimed that as he was entering the house, a black male passed him and exited the house. He was holding a black pistol while walking out the door. He then showed a picture of the man to the police and the suspect was identified as 18-year-old Haston Bilbo.

Once Bilbo was outside, the witness claimed he heard several gunshots and saw Bilbo waving the pistol from the window. A separate witness told police he heard Bilbo say something like "he emptied a whole magazine at them."

On scene the detectives found several empty 9mm shell casings in the front yard. The affidavit states that the location of the casings was consistent with Bilbo firing numerous rounds into the house.

A warrant was then issued and Bilbo was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on bond the following day. Then on Dec. 30 Bilbo was arrested once again for discharging a firearm in the city limits, unlawful possession of a firearm, and a number of other charges. He was released the same day.

Bilbo was arrested 15 days later for having 24 city warrants that included multiple drug paraphernalia possessions, traffic violations, possession of marijuana, and minor in possession of alcohol. Bilbo spent four days in the Tom Green County Jail and was released on Jan. 19.

Bilbo nearly made it a month and then was booked again for no drivers license and possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 4. He was released the same day but was rearrested the following day for driving while license invalid with a previous conviction. He was released the same day.

Finally, on Feb. 24 Bilbo was booked into Tom Green County Jail for violating his bond for the original aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. He has been in the Tom Green County Detention Facility since then.

On Apr. 19 Bilbo was indicted on two charges. The first was the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon mentioned above. The second was for burglary of a habitation. The indictment accuses Bilbo of breaking into a home and stealing an Xbox, an Xbox 1S and a video game.
