Suspect Who Overdosed on Meth Indicted for Possession

 

SAN ANGELO,TX- Norberto Jose Gonzales has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in April for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1 >=4G<200G.

On the morning of December 12th, 2020, San Angelo police responded to an overdose in the Santa Rita part of San Angelo.

Once the correct apartment was located officers noticed the door was unlocked and then located Norberto Gonzales, who was unconscious on the floor in a bedroom. Paramedics were on scene and began treating Gonzales.

SAPD noticed a pill bottle containing what was suspected methamphetamine on top of the bed in the bedroom they discovered Gonzales in. Also found were 4 tablets of suspected Xanax that were with the suspected meth.

Gonzales was transported to Shannon ER for medical evaluation and no arrests were made.

That same day, officers met up to test and weigh the suspected methamphetamine. It weighed in at 28 grams and did test positive for meth.

Norberto Gonzales was in possession of approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine. An amount worth over $1,500 in San Angelo.

Gonzales was booked on December 21st, 2021 and is currently an inmate at the TGCDF. Gonzales’ bond has been set at $25,000.00.
