San Angelo Man Indicted for Stealing a Rifle from a Gun Store

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- David Andrew Hampton has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in April for Theft of a Firearm.

SAPD responded to Texas Gun, located at 1018 West Beauregard Avenue, after employees detained a man after an attempt to steal a firearm from the store.

Hampton continued to try and get away even after the employees removed the rifle from his coveralls.

The complainant stated he pulled the gun out of Hampton’s coveralls and detained him because he did not know if someone was waiting for Hampton outside.

Hampton did not have any warrants and was arrested on February 2nd, 2021 for theft of a firearm.

David Andre Hampton is currently an inmate at the TGCDF and has a $10,000.00 bond.
