Robbery Suspect Arrested After a Week Long Search

 

ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Police Department has arrested a man who robbed and shot and two people last week.

According to the Odessa Police Department, on Mar. 1, an arrest has been made in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred last week in Southwest Odessa. Braiden Ray Stout, date of birth 10/12/2000, has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery “1st Degree Felony”.

On Feb. 24, 2021 at approximately 4 a.m., Odessa Police responded to the 300 block of Drury Lane in reference to two gunshot victims. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 31-year-old male and 25-year-old female, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injury.  The investigation revealed that both victims had been robbed and shot by a male subject, later identified as Stout.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, OPD detectives obtained two aggravated robbery warrants for Stout, who was located and arrested yesterday in Monahans.The investigation continues.
