SAPD Apprehends Super 8 Shooter

 

SAN ANGELO, TX --  The San Angelo Police Department has confirmed the arrest of the suspect involved in the shooting of a 24-year-old woman early Wednesday morning.

According to SAPD, 28-year-old Matthew Dominguez of San Angelo has been charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon at the Super 8 Motel on Avenue L.

The preliminary investigation revealed the shooting occurred during an altercation between Dominguez and the woman. The victim’s injuries were listed as serious and she is reported to be in stable condition.

On Thursday, SAPD's Criminal Investigations Division and Anti-Crime Unit coordinated Dominguez’s apprehension at a residence in the 3800 block of Sunset Drive.    

Dominguez was booked into the Tom Green County Jail and is being held without a bond.
