Felon Indicted for Crashing a Stolen Car and Running from the Cops

 

SAN ANGELO,TX – Roylee Rodriguez-Lopez has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury on evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle charges.

According to court documents, a San Angelo police officer was flagged down in regards to a crash. Once the officer arrived, a male subject ran on foot from the scene. Officers were in clearly marked vehicles with lights and sirens on. The subject’s mother told police he did not have her consent to use the vehicle and was unaware it was gone.

Lopez failed to report the crash and also has had previous convictions for evading arrest.

A warrant was issued for Rodriguez-Lopez and he was arrested on Nov. 8, 2020. 

Rodriguez-Lopez has previously been indicted for burglary of a building, unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, and assault of a family/household member.

Lopez is currently jailed on a $15,000.00 bond.
