Trespasser Shot to Death by Neighbor

BIG SPRING, TX – The Big Spring Police Department has confirmed a 32-year-old male was killed in a fatal shooting Thursday.

According to BSPD, officers were dispatched to Barcelona Apartments around 9:30 a.m for reports of a gunshot victim.

When officers arrived, they located Terrance Ali Young with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and he had succumbed to his injuries.

The subsequent investigation revealed that earlier that morning Young had been issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for an apartment. He returned to the apartment complex and continued to bang on a door. This prompted a neighbor to exit and ask him to leave.

This resulted in an altercation and the neighbor shot Young.

The neighbor cooperated with detectives and was released after he was interviewed. The shooting remains under investigation.

The Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers Division is assisting the Big Spring Police Department in the investigation.
