Midland Woman Raising Money For Legal Defense After D.C. Riot

MIDLAND, TX -- Fighting federal charges is not cheap, so Jenny Cudd has created a fund to support her legal defense.

The Midland flower shop owner was charged in federal court with two counts. For more information, check out this story: Federal Court Charges Midland Woman in Capitol Riot.

Cudd created a fundraiser on GiveSendGo, described as the #1 free Christian fundraising site. The fund, titled Patriot legal defense to fight to cancel culture, aims to raise $25,000.

Cudd shared a brief statement for donors.

"On January 6th, I went to DC to support President Trump & fight for fair elections. At the Capitol, I went inside the building along with several hundred people through an open door. I did not destroy any property or partake in violence of any kind. Patriots don't do that. An emotional video I made that night has gone viral & been taken massively out of context."

"Cancel culture has attacked my small businesses & those associated with me. I've received over 7 death threats & 1000+ 1star reviews from cancel culture across the country. My employees are scared. I've been calling an American terrorist. I love my country, President Trump, the Constitution, & the Christian principles our country was founded on. God made me a fighter not a coward, & I refuse to let cancel culture destroy my life, my business, or my country. I would appreciate any help you can provide in order to hire an attorney to fight back against defamation & the ongoing assault on my character. If you cannot contribute, please pray. God bless the U.S.A.!"

As of Thursday, she has raised $618. Anonymous donors shared encouraging messages for Cudd.

"I'm so freaking proud of you. Thank you for standing up for what you believe in and helping to fight for this country!!!"

"God bless you Jenny and good luck fighting the Man."

"Best of luck with your legal battle! Wish I could help more."

"Thank you for standing up & fighting for our country!"
