WANTED: Fugitive Shoots at Troopers During Chase in Brady

 

BRADY, TX – A man from Georgetown is currently wanted by the Texas Department of Public Safety after he fired shots at troopers during a high speed chase in Brady.

According to the Texas troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Jan. 11, DPS troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on white Cadillac Escalade near Brady.

The driver evaded arrest for approximately two city blocks before stopping and attempting to discharge a firearm out of the driver side window. The driver then continued to evade, abandoned the vehicle on private property, and fled on foot.

The driver was identified as Justin Dunway Friar, 33 of Georgetown, Texas.

Friar is wanted for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant and is considered armed and dangerous.
